Ballet is the most fundamental technique in dance education. A strong ballet background will facilitate success and strength in all movement styles.
FreeStyle Dance Centre is proud of it's strong and successful ballet program. FreeStyle Dance Centre has four teachers that are dedicated to the success of each ballet student through RAD teacher certification, continued learning, and daily teaching in the studio. Miss Jessica has completed her Advanced One RAD examination and obtained high results with all her exam entries. Miss Dawn brings to the children at FreeStyle a rich kinesthetic approach due to her extensive biology background. With versatile experience in different styles of ballet and over 19 years of experience in dance teaching Miss Bernadette leads the Ballet Program. All three of these teacher have completed the demanding and resulted Teaching Certificate through the Royal Academy of Dance. We also welcome Karolynn Fisher and Lauren Healy to our ballet staff. Karolynn has completed her Advanced One level of the RAD and attended and received scholarships from the Spring Seminar with the Vancouver Ballet Society. Lauren demands respect as a teacher with her recent completion of the Advanced Two Vocation Exam. Both Lauren and Karolynn continue to pursue their dancing careers.
FreeStyle's Ballet Program includes:
- Grade One - Grade Five Classes of the Royal Academy Graded Syllabus
- Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced One, and Advanced Two of the Royal Academy Vocational Syllabus
- Beginner-Advanced Pointe Classes, Teen Pointe Classes
- Teen and Adult Ballet Classes in Two Levels
- Our Tiny Dance, Pre-Primary Ballet and Primary Ballet Classes are part of our TINY DANCE PROGRAM.
